Dr. Karen Hardy's Book Reaches #6 on Amazon's Top 100 Best Seller's List
FOR RELEASE --
When Karen Hardy secured a publishing opportunity with
John Wiley & Sons to update her research report into a book, she
thought she had reached utopia. But that was before she learned of the news
that her book Enterprise Risk Management: A Guide for Government
Professionals had nabbed the #6 spot on Amazon's Best Sellers List for
Risk Management.
"I kept checking my daily status report, because its
good to measure your progress," says Hardy. "The book was first
ranked in the 1,000s in the beginning. To see it reach #6 on Amazon's Best Seller's List is a dream come
true!" she expressed. "There are some really good writers and
authors in this field. Very seasoned professionals" she said. "So to
make this milestone is not only a validation, but a personal achievement I
have dreamt about." Indeed it is. Karen's mother only made it to the
8th grade and her father was a truck driver. But they instilled a work ethnic
that she follows to this day.
Growing up with seven siblings, she and her younger brother
and sister spent summers creating their own activities. "Back in that
day, you made your own fun. There was no computer. All we had was a blank sheet
of paper, a pen, and a lot of time to use our imagination." she
recalls. "Before I knew it, I was enrolling in college to major in
Journalism years later. I've been writing ever since." Now that she
has reached this dream, what is on the horizon you may ask? "I will keep
writing," she responded. "There is always something fascinating to
write about."
