Six textbooks received William Holmes McGuffey Longevity Awards, 10 textbooks received Textbook Excellence Awards, and seven textbooks received Most Promising New Textbook Awards. Dr. Hardy is a 2017 Most Promising New Textbook Award Winner in the College category for her book " Enterprise Risk Management: A Guide for Government Professionals” which is in its first edition and published by by John Wiley & Sons. The book is cited for College/University Accounting, Business and Economics courses, but Public Administration is also a good curriculum fit. The core competencies for the ERM discipline continue to be improved. The Risk Management Society (RIMS) recently updated their competency and professional growth model. The RIMS competency model was included in the first edition of Enterprise Risk Management: A Guide for Government Professionals. A survey of Federal, State, and Local government risk professionals was completed in 2014 to assess which competencies were more present in the public sector environment. The survey will be redistributed. But adopters of the book will have access to the exclusive updated survey results through one the new survey is completed.
