Chapter 8 Update: ERM Core Competencies

The core competencies for the ERM discipline continue to be improved. The Risk Management Society (RIMS) recently updated their competency and professional growth model. The RIMS competency model was included in the first edition of Enterprise Risk Management: A Guide for Government Professionals. 
A survey of Federal, State, and Local government risk professionals was completed in 2014 to assess which competencies were more present in the public sector environment. The survey will be redistributed. But adopters of the book will have access to the exclusive updated survey results through one the new survey is completed. This survey information will be available for Book Adopters to include in their training and education material.
