Industry Disruptions Will Require More Strategic Risk Managers

In reading the article about Tesla's race to build autonomous cargo ships; it reminds me of one potent thought I have pondered.

"In my professional opinion, disruptions across the board in various industries will require more 'strategic' risk management professionals. Not in the sense of risks to strategy planning or risk to strategic objectives; but ongoing strategies for navigating smart business operations and DECISIONS.  These futurists will help steer organizations away from harm. The Future Risk Professionals Toolbox(tm) will move from emphasizing frameworks and checklists to the need to have foresight skills and the ability to advise leaders of where their greatest risks remain in all parts of the organization. Thus ERM becomes even more powerful"  -- Dr. Karen Hardy
